In The Room is a free, private companion for people in the UK facing workplace meetings about role changes, restructures, consultation and redundancy. Sponsorship keeps it free.

Who uses it

Employees preparing for, sitting in, or following up after meetings about their job – often people who may soon be looking for a new role, retraining or updating their CV. Because we don't track anyone, we can't give you visitor profiles or click data, and we won't.

Where sponsors appear

• Prep tab – one slot at the end of the preparation checklist
• After tab – one slot after the next steps and free-help list
• Money tab – one small slot below the calculator (optional)

Sponsors never appear during the meeting itself: not on the Live, Scenario or Notes tabs, nor in the “What do I say?” panel. Every slot is clearly labelled Sponsored, sits below the free guidance, and shows your name, logo, one line of text and a link.

Who we work with

We welcome job boards, recruitment agencies, CV writers, career coaches, training providers and similar services that genuinely help people move on in their careers.

Privacy-first, no tracking

• No third-party scripts, ad networks, pixels or cookies – ever.
• Your logo is hosted on our site, not loaded from yours, so visitors' details aren't shared.
• Links open in a new tab and are marked rel="sponsored". You can use a simple referral tag in your URL (e.g. ?ref=intheroom) to count visits on your own site.
• We can't and won't tell you who saw or clicked your listing.

Ad standards

• Listings must follow the CAP Code (ASA): legal, decent, honest and truthful, and clearly identifiable as advertising.
• No misleading claims – e.g. no guaranteed jobs, salaries or tribunal outcomes, and no fake urgency.
• No financial promotions, investment, pension transfer, loan or debt products unless the promotion is made or approved by an FCA-authorised firm and complies with FCA rules. We may decline any financial service at our discretion.
• No legal services that imply endorsement by Acas, GOV.UK or any public body; regulated legal providers must state their regulator.
• Nothing that targets people's anxiety about losing their job in an exploitative way.
• We review every listing and can remove one at any time if it breaches these standards or user trust.
